教材分析

 

语言结构

    1. be going to 表示将来。

    2. want to be + 职业。

3. What, How, Where and When 引导的特殊疑问句。

 

语言目标

1. 学习一些有关职业的英文表达方式。

2. 能谈论未来自己理想的职业。

3. 为自己理想职业做出的一些打算和安排。

 

教学重、难点

1.用英文来谈论自己未来理想的职业。

结构: 主语 + want to be + a(an) + 职业。

        2.用到be going to+动词原形结构表示打算、计划、决定要做的事情。

Step1 Greeting

Step2 Revision                                      

1.  了解学生职业名称知道多少?                         

1)这样进行复习:                               

提问学生: You know, I’m a teacher. So, what are your jobs?                                    

学生齐声回答:We are students.                    

2)接下来提问学生还学了那些关于职业单词,组织学生一起回忆,看看还知道哪些职业名称?              

3) 这样提问学生                                                                                     

   T: We have learned some names of jobs. Can you remember them?                                   

   Ss: Yes. They are singer, artist, actor, farmer, actress, and so on.                         

   T: Very good! What other jobs do you know?

   Ss: reporter, writer, dentist performer, magician,

  (这是同学们在前面第二、第四单元刚刚所学的单词,所以不难说出)

还有部分同学说出了以下单词:                               

cook, doctor, computer programmer, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist, and basketball player.(说明有些同学已经预习了第六单元,给予及时的表扬语鼓励)

2.接下来分小组讨论,看谁说出的职业名称多,在这个活动过程中,同学们都非常活跃,但有少部分同学不敢说或怕说错。

3.让学生草稿纸上尽可能地写出职业名称。

(学生完成得非常好)                                

Step3 Presentation                              

1、复习完职业名称后,接下来让同学们谈论自己的理想的职业,这样导入新课:

提问学生:                                       

    T:  What do you want to be when you grow up?     

    S1: I want to be a computer programmer.

   (再和学生复习unit5want to + 动词原形)

    T: How are you going to do that?

    S1: I’m going to study computer science.

  (把这个句型板书到黑板上,说明 “be going to +动词原形”这一固定结构,表示将要发生的事或打算、计划、决定要做的事情。)

学生明白了“be going to + 动词原形”的意思和用法后都会回答了:

老师再提问:

    T:  What do you want to be when you grow up?

And how are you going to do that?

    S1: I want to a singer.

        I’m going to practice singing.

    S2: I want to a singer.

        I’m going to practice singing.

    S3: I want to a basketball player.

I’m going to practice playing basketball every day.      

    S4: ...

2.接下来学生很快的完成课本411a.

Step4 listening practice

1.  首先听简短的4个小对话(1b                        

    T:  Look at 1b, listen and fill in the blanks, then match the items.                              

(这一部分学生单词不过关,填空时还是有点困难。)   

2. 接下来 Ask students look at textbook 2a .Listen and check.

(同学们很快钩对)

3.  Students listen again, after listening, ask students the following questions:(完成2b

    (1) What does Cheng Han want to be when he grows up?

    (2) Where is he going to move?

    (3) How is he going to become a teacher?                 

    (4) When is he going to start?                

Then students fill in the chart (2b).

(这一部分学生做得不够好,许多单词不会写,单词不过关。)

Step5 Spoken practice

     听力完成后接下来进行对话练习                     

(首先,给3分钟自由对话)接下来叫自愿组起来进行对话练习:                                         

   T: Let students make conversation about the other jobs.                                            

   A: What do you want to be when you grow up?             

   B: I want to be an actor.                

   A: How are you going to do that?               

   B: I’m going to take acting lessons.                

...

Step6 Summary                                  

1.be going to + 动词原形”表示将要发生的事或打算、计划、决定要做的事情。                            

2.构成:be going to + 动词原形                         

3.要和表示将来的时间状语连用,如:tomorrow/ next week/ next month/ next year etc.                      

4.重点句型                                             

特殊疑问句:

    (1) What do you want to be when you grow up?

    (2) How are you going to do that?                       

    (3) Where are you going to work?            

    (4) When are you going to start?             

Step7 Exercising

     (课本48 Self Check Part2)                            

Fill in the blanks in the conversation.              

     A: What do you         to be when you grow up?             

     B: I want          an scientist.                

    A: Wow! That sounds cool. But it’s also difficult.        are you going to do that?               

    B: After I finish high school, I’m        to go to university.

    A:         are you        to study?

    B: In Hefei. I’m        to study there for four years.

    A: I think I want        a teacher. I’m       to teach in Wuhan. 

      (作业完成得很好)

Step8 Homework

    Make the conversation about their dream jobs.

       I’m going to move to Shanghai.

                               I’m going to start when I finish high school and college.

 

课后反思:

好的方面:

本节课开始,首先介绍自己的职业是一位教师,接下来提问学生的职业,学生马上就回答正确了,让学生自然融入,接下来就通过复习以前学的职业单词来列举职业,然后,缓缓导入新课,将学生带入语言环境,并初步感受到本课的主要话题是谈论自己的理想,我觉得这一点引入得很好。然后让学生谈论自己理想的职业,并且让学生知道有了理想之后,应该知道更重要的是要怎样为实现理想付出努力,这样循序渐进,因此学生在完成最后的中心任务时亦不觉吃力,整堂课学生活动充分。

    不好的方面:

1.在1c的对话练习,进行说一说职业的小组活动中,有部分学生不敢说,怕说错,或不想说,这一点我觉得是普遍农村初中生存在的问题,一方面原因是接触英语比较少,平时讲得比较少;另外一方面的原因是学生本身素质比较低,学不学,说不说无所谓。

2. 在听力部分,由于学生单词记不住,记得不牢或有些学生不愿意去记,平时同学们听力又练得不多,听得比较少,所以在这部分,特别是在2b,所以比较难完成。

针对学生这两点,应加强练习,让学生多听多练,以后不断提高。除此之外,还要从思想方面引导,提高他们的学习兴趣。
